I got two aprons from this tablecloth with lots of leftovers, too. The rest has quite a bit of red stain- maybe too much wine at a Christmas dinner????
Merry Christmas everyone!
The latest thing I have completed. it's hanging on the front door of the Gallery. It was fun free-piecing the letters! and I used fabric I already had- nothing new!
Too funny! I think I'll make a His/Hers pair...would be a great shower gift for hip couples!
Custom order from her wedding dress. I was very nervous! But I think it turned out very nice! Of course it looks better in "real life". I'm not sure I want to do these very often...
What I made today...I'm glad to be inside because we are having a heat wave! UGH!!! Sewing in the AC suits me fine! This was fun- I had all the fabric here. Took awhile to decide what to line it with but Claire likes dogs and I thought this green just gave it a kick and the button matches the green just right!
In the backyard- I didn't trim it back at all last fall and it' doing very well this year!
Our 11 year old tabby has a new favorite sleeping place....she loves to get in tight spots!
Finally finished this one! Cute apron that my daughter found at an antique store...worked well for this!
Just finished! I found this fabric at a local antique shop and had to have it. We host the Columbus Carriage Classic, a pleasure driving competition, here in Columbus WI every summer- this year Aug. 22-24. I made this for a dear friend for her birthday. The fabric is a Waverly- called "They're Off". Don't know what year it was made. I got a good sized chunk of it and will make some more totes and maybe pillow, too!
I wonder if they will have to take the entire tree down?
We are having record rainfall and storms...this just happened about 30 minutes ago in our next door neighbor's yard. It fell in just the right place! Nothing and nobody got hurt!
Found this in a new group I joined- isn't it just gorgeous!!!???
Is this the coolest nursery set you've ever seen????? I am blown away by this! So creative and fun!
Here's a close-up of the hanky. I have lots of these and have to make them into something! They are just sitting in a box!
did this yesterday, too. I think the fabric worked wwell with the hanky.
I made this yesterday. they were working on the doors and I had no customers so I had a lot of time to sew. This is for my daughter's friend's birthday. It's about 8 x 10.
A peek at theoriginal brick...before the current facade was done this was 2 brick buildings. the current facade was done in 1916.
All the original doors and transom are gone. Boarded up for the night. Chris and kerwin are the workers.
A close-up of the entrance. There was a horse/carriage related shop in here before we moved in. The decal is still on the transom.
This is the ouside of the Gallery before any of the movie "dressing" began.
Universal Studios is filming in our town!!!! The movie is "Public Enemies" starring Johnny Depp, Christian Bale and Marion Cotillard. My Gallery which is housed in the former First National Bank is in a scene, we get "robbed'. Johnny will be running out the doors!!! He will be in the building- how lucky is this?
Oh! Look at this cool notebook cover! What a fun way to use all your scraps. I must make one for my purse!
Fabulous!
I've had this fabric for at least 20 years!!! Made a tote for our before and after-school program called Clubhouse - they are having a fundraiser- silent auction.
One of my favorite things to do- make custom orders! My friend Laurie brought me this fabric and asked for a bag and accessories for her Mom for Xmas. Isn't the fabric pretty!!!
One of my new favorite sites- she does wonderful work with your loved one's clothing! Check out her blog and website!
