Here are 3 new bags: these two, made with vintage tablecloth pieces are for sale in the Gallery. They have inside pockets and vintage buttons, too!














This one is a custom order- the yellow/orange piece is from a vintage tablecloth- I only have a small piece left! Vintage buttons, too!

The reason for the delay in finishing- I cut all the pieces out and then discovered there were set-in corners. I just didn't want to deal with those but after pulling it out again I decided I HAD to finish it! See- there is hope for those older UFO's we all have! LOL

OMG!!! I ordered this from Elizabeth Holcombe- Words & Whimsies and Dime Store Chic. I sent her the squirrel and she created this absolutely adorable pincushion for me. It is a work of art!!!

My latest project for a dear friend. This was the last piece of this tablecloth-very lovely...sad to see it go!!!! I just love making these- they take on a life of their own! I meant to have the handles with the design on the inside but ooops and they look good this way! There are no mistakes!

Strawberry/Cherry Apron

Added the red border because of a hole, but adding polka-dots is always a good thing. I love making aprons- it really showcases the vintage tablecloths.

Porch Swing Cushion Cover

Well, lots has changed since I last posted. The Gallery has moved- 2 doors west- to 128 W James. We are sharing the space with the 1928 Dunbar popcorn wagon that was an icon here in Columbus for many years. It's a great piece of Columbus history! And I can make popcorn anytime I want! YUM!!!
The cushion cover is a custom order I just finished. It has 2 different looks- the yellow piece is from a vintage tablecloth. I am sewing more and loving it!

Dysfunctional!

I love Michael Miller fabrics! This line happens to be "Dysfunctional Family". A client picked out 3 of the blocks and I made these zippered bags for 3 of her friends. Too cute! And funny!!!
Made a couple of onesies, too. many people I know are having grandchildren! I am not ready for that yet, but I'm sure it will fun someday.

My Favorite Quilters group is having a 4-patch swap and these are the ones I am mailing out tomorrow morning. I love doing these swaps and I start out all excited and on the ball but kind of "peter-out" about half-way thru! The thrill of starting something new! So, if you swap with me, you'll get something a bit late, but worth it.

2009 Quilt Retreat

Working away on 48 center star blocks for a quilt I started 10 years ago- for ny sister's 40th....ha ha...it's going to be done for her 50th!!!!! This was our yearly quilt retreat- always so much fun!!!

This quilt for our bed has been waiting for it's binding for a couple of years! It is one of my New Year's resolutions...after this is finished,it's off the the BIG washing machine to soften it up a bit.
Next I will have to make some window treatments to coordinate. I do have some pillow shams started that also need finishing, too!

I got two aprons from this tablecloth with lots of leftovers, too. The rest has quite a bit of red stain- maybe too much wine at a Christmas dinner????
